News: The First Young Black Detectives

Inclusive children’s publisher, Knights Of, has acquired World rights to debut author Sharna Jackson’s mystery series High-Rise Mysteries series, an electrifying contemporary detective debut.

Aimed at the 9-12 and 12+ age groups, High-Rise Mystery, the first title in the fast-paced whodunnit series, is due out in paperback in April 2019, with Knights Of also holding the film, TV and audio rights. The book is supported using public funding by Arts Council England.

The High-Rise narrative unfolds in a South London tower block during the hottest summer on record. There has been a murder in THE TRI, the high-rise buildings where know-it-alls Nik and Norva live. Armed with curiosity, local knowledge and unlimited time – until the end of the summer holidays – the dogged and determined detective duo take it upon themselves to solve the complicated mystery.

Jackson, an experienced curator and artistic director, has spent over a decade working closely with children to develop socially engaging digital initiatives within arts, culture and entertainment.

Colour PR will be working with Jackson and the Knights Of team to promote the first book in the series when it is out in April 2019.
