The National Churches Trust's (NCT) website, explorechurches.org, hosts tourist information on the country’s top historic churches. To mark its launch, we worked closely with the NCT to develop and release a nationwide study mapping UK’s top church tourism hotspots.
The study was featured in The Mail Online and The Times. Interviews with the NCT were live on 11 regional BBC Radio Stations, and the story was covered by local ITV news channels.
We also generated publicity around key dates beyond launch, such as 'the top 10 macabre objects in Britain’s churches’ and 'Britain's smallest churches', both covered by the Mail Online.
Traffic to the website reached an all-time high, doubling the usual number of visitors, while helping to re-position historic churches from places of worship to leading visitor attractions.
